Description
[This course will take approximately 2 hours 40 minutes to complete.]

'First aid' refers to the prompt care provided to someone who is ill or injured. Within the workplace, it is vital that staff are prepared to take the right steps in an emergency. This course provides an overall view of first aid responsibilities required in the workplace. It will also equip you with the knowledge and confidence to assist with first aid response.

*Please note: this course is for awareness only. It is not a First Aid at Work (FAW) or Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) course, and it does not qualify you to be a first aider.

In this course, you will learn about:
- Basic legal requirements regarding first aid
- What a first aid needs assessment is and how it influences first aid in the workplace
- How to respond to emergencies and other common incidents
- When and how to contact emergency services
- Responding to mental health emergencies
