Eating disorders are complex mental health conditions that involve disordered eating habits, and concerns over weight and body image. These disorders can have detrimental effects on a child's physical and mental health, emotional well-being and overall development.
Foster children may be particularly vulnerable to developing eating disorders, due to the traumas and disruptions they have encountered in their lives. Learning about these disorders and understanding how to help your foster child manage and overcome them is crucial in providing appropriate support and creating a nurturing environment.

In this course, you will learn:

- About the various types of eating disorders
- Factors that might influence eating disorders
- Why some young people are more prone to them
- Eating disorder diagnosis, treatment and recovery
- How to help and support a young person with an eating disorder.
